Box is looking for an experienced Business Systems Engineer to support the development for key Finance systems like NetSuite, Coupa, Concur and Anaplan. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering best-in-class Financial systems implementation to the internal teams at Box, including visualizing, architecting, adapting, prioritizing and effectively executing against roadmap and correlated, quarterly system related deliverables.
You will be working with business system leaders and collaborating with our Enterprise Systems team by utilizing your technical expertise and business insights. In partnership with our Controllership, Strategic Planning & Analysis, Treasury and Accounting teams, you will research and resolve issues and ensure optimal solutions for our financial/business systems. An ideal candidate will have exceptional analytical, communication, and problem solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels of organizations.

- Bring a strong technical foundation; be able to design and deep dive on complex solutions, platforms, and interface design, while also educating more technical staff on the underlying business principles
- Good understanding and application of key business and finance processes (close process, financial planning & analysis, record to report etc.)
- Lead teams in iterative product development using Agile principles and a quality-first approach to development
- Partner with business engagement team and executives to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency
- Partner with PMO organization to ensure area portfolio delivery in terms of priority, schedule, scope, and quality, while providing transparency to the business organization
- Overall ownership and accountability for Finance and Business systems implementation to include quality, accuracy, and usability of data and related interfaces, by working with internal stakeholders to implement adequate processes, audits and backup systems
- Support end users for compliance based system requests including, SOX documentation, testing and timely remediation
- Share best practices and make recommendations for enhancements or change based on roadmap
- Build financial reports to provide management teams analysis on key performance indicators
- 5+ years experience in ERP, Financial Systems development (good working experience in NetSuite, familiarity with Anaplan or Blackline, etc.)
- Experience with systems implementations, reconciling, and reporting
- Relevant experience with SOX systems and general controls requirements
- Experience with publicly traded and global companies
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and work as both an individual contributor and lead
- Experience with software accounting processes, at a high-growth company is a plus
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to present to and engage with Senior/Executive management
- Demonstrated ability to work with partners of diverse backgrounds both in and outside of the organization (vendors, business partners, etc)
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, FP&A, Accounting or related field would be an asset
- Knowledge of financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting principles and practices
