WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The Sr. QA Engineer will be responsible for leading testing activities across different projects in the program. In this role, you will work with business leaders and collaborate with our Enterprise Systems business engagement team to identify and manage the QA tasks for the project plan. In this role you will provide guidance and subject matter expertise to IT teams on QA methodologies and processes as well as deliver high business value. The Sr. QA Engineer is ultimately responsible for all QA activities.
 
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Preparing and implementing quality assurance policies and procedures

  • Establishing and publishing key KPI’s for monitoring and reporting the quality of the changes and solutions released in the Enterprise systems

  • Ensuring QA policies, procedures and processes are followed as part of application support and solution delivery across all Enterprise systems

  • Identifying operational bottlenecks and/or areas of improvement

  • Creating and maintaining training materials and operating manuals in support of QA standards

  • Estimating the Level of Effort for enhancements and projects required to test a solution

  • Managing budgets and cost for the testing scope of projects/programs

  • Acting as a Testing Lead and overseeing review and execution of test cases; ensuring defects are accurately documented using approved standards, processes and tools for projects with all levels of complexity

  • Reporting results and recommending to delivery teams and key stakeholders on the quality of the product, software development lifecycle processes and the risk of promoting for production use for projects with all levels of complexity

  • Creating test automation and performance testing frameworks and plans

  • Providing information and periodic updates to support overall IT performance metrics, monthly project status reporting and quarterly resource planning review

  • Development of test strategies, plans, and maintenance of automation test data

  • Continuous improvement of automated tests as new system features and enhancements are developed

  • Execution of automated tests and management of the resulting defect log through the point of defect fix validation

WHO YOU ARE
  • Bachelor Computer science degree with typical 5-10 years’ experience
  • Experience in quality defect tracking, auditing and testing 

  • 5-10 years’ experience working in quality assurance or a similar field

  • Working knowledge of tools, methods, and concepts of quality assurance

  • Experience delivering quality assurance in SaaS architecture using systems such as Salesforce, Workday, SnapLogic, Netsuite and other finance / marketing systems

  • Certificate in quality assurance is a must

  • Lean Six Sigma (Blackbelt) preferred

  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Excellent data gathering and analytical skills

  • Must be able to work will minimal supervision

  • Experience in one of the automation tools, preferable Tosca Trientis, would be an asset
