We are a dynamic team of former consultants, technology professionals, bankers and engineers that act as critical partners to organizations across the business, helping to inform, drive, and support important decisions. We need you so that we can continue to drive and support our growth - building on our market leading position. Our role is to inform and drive some of Box’s most important business decisions by:
  • Providing context and connection between functions, across time (quarter, year, multi-year), and among varying levels of data (high-level external metrics to detailed operational indicators)

  • Linking that context directly to our corporate and business strategy

  • Objectively assessing the impact of the decision on our business

 
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • As part of of the US Marketing SP&A team, you’ll embed within our US Marketing organization and provide strategic and operational finance support to multiple business partners within the Marketing organization
  • Own the Marketing budget planning tool and collaborate closely with the Marketing organization to execute scalable processes for tracking and managing funding requests, triaging intra-quarter puts/takes and assessing variances to plan

  • Contribute to the end-to-end financial planning and forecasting (monthly, quarterly, and annual)

  • Support the month-end-close process, collaborating closely with our corporate finance and accounting teams

  • Contribute to reporting and ad hoc analyses of Marketing KBIs (e.g., pipeline metrics, MQLs, SQLs, conversion)

  • Build and/or maintain detailed financial models to help with optimizing resource allocation across marketing vehicles and geographies based on ROI, and provide concise, actionable recommendations to the Marketing leadership team

WHO YOU ARE
  • You have 3+ years of applicable experience with time spent in investment banking, consulting, accounting or finance and operations within a top technology company (preferred) 

  • Advanced proficiency in Excel with prior financial modeling experience 

  • Prior experience with Anaplan, SQL, Salesforce and Tableau or desire to learn

  • Fast-paced, dynamic team environments are your jam

  • You are thoughtful and a poised communicator and are not hesitant to voice your point of view

  • You take pride in your analytical and financial modeling skills and enjoy applying them to tackle highly complex business problems – and you can tell the story behind the data through relevant insights and conclusions

  • You can navigate networks of systems and people to find the information you need

  • You’re a structured thinker and have strong command of “the details” but don’t get lost in them

  • You are comfortable contributing to projects end-to-end, from initiation and planning through to closure

  • You can effectively prioritize multiple work streams and constituents
