WHY BOX NEEDS YOU
The Box Legal team is growing to support our expanding sales team and customer base. You'll be reporting to the leader of our Sales Legal team and joining a group of five legal professionals located in California, Texas and New York that support our Sales organization by drafting, negotiating and closing commercial transactions for the purchase of Box's products and services and generally support our business activities in the United States and several international markets. This position will be based out of one the Box corporate offices in New York City, Austin (hybrid), or Chicago.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Drive the contract negotiation and execution process to closure while manage risks
Support in the processing of a variety of legal agreements including NDAs and privacy-related terms
Seek, track and save approvals from multiple internal teams (Deal Desk, Technical Accounting, Support)
Collaborate on legal projects including sales enablement, training, and operational/export compliance
Assist with contract management system administration, legal research, and other governance duties
WHO YOU ARE
BA/BS degree with 3-7 of relevant professional business and/or contract management experience
Attentive with a highly detailed approach to reviewing and redlining contracts and the ability to courteously and succinctly explain company positions and policies
Knowledgeable of cloud business models with the related legal, business and technical issues and intrigued by how Box's cloud content management strategy interacts with those themes
A track record of positive collaborative experiences with the ability to comfortably manage projects with multiple stakeholders
Previous exposure to US and EU data security and privacy laws (e.g. GDPR, CCPA and HIPAA) preferable
