WHY BOX NEEDS YOU 

Box is looking for an experienced technical leader and people manager to lead a team of developers primarily focused on Salesforce.com and Apttus CPQ.  The position requires hands-on experience in Salesforce.com, stakeholder management, delivery management and team management.  In collaboration with functional leaders, this individual will be responsible for identification of the organization's Salesforce and Apttus platform needs, solution design and development. 


Reporting to the VP, Enterprise Systems this individual will be a key member of a lean and high impact IT organization with top quality people focused on customer satisfaction, superior execution and delivery.

 
WHAT YOU'LL DO 
  • Manage individual workload and work of the team to deliver on committed portfolio ; identify/mitigate risks to delivering solution on time; and act as a team leader, providing support and a reviews
  • Provide strategic thought leadership to application development project plans; approve scope of work, time and cost estimates, resource allocation, and identification of critical path activities and dependencies.
  • Serve as a strong consultative partner to the team to ensure that the system quality and program standards meet objectives and desired results are achieved
  • Proactively identify and communicate potential issues or risks with system landscape and act as an escalation point for the technical team in addressing critical production support issues.
  • Align and work in conjunction with Application Architect(s) to deliver high quality, scalable solutions
  • Prioritize and manage development tasks and if needed perform scrum master role for the team.
  • Collaborate with functional owners and other IT leads to develop roadmaps on the Salesforce and Apttus platforms. Roadmap needs to be built on detailed understanding of the business functions, processes, and overall business strategies.
  • Manage global team across internal and offshore resources
  • Partner with Release Management to mature Dev Ops practice
  • Evangelize Salesforce.com and Apttus development best practices and solution adoption across IT teams and business teams
  • Share best practices and make recommendations for enhancements or change based on roadmap
  • Direct and lead a team of employees/consultants on a project 
 
WHO YOU ARE 
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field of study or equivalent relevant experience in programming
  • Minimum of 5 years of people management experience
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant development life cycle experience in systems and applications management including systems/application design
  • Minimum 5 years of experience architecting and delivering Salesforce.com solutions. Completed at least 2 full lifecycle of Salesforce.com implementations at the enterprise level that includes data migration and integrations with third party apps
  • Strong project management, team management and relationship management skills
  • Demonstrated deep technical knowledge in Salesforce.com, Sales Cloud, PRM, Communities, Salesforce Integrations, Salesforce.com data model, custom objects, customization vs. Salesforce out-of-the-box functionality, Visualforce Pages, JavaScript, Apex Triggers and Batch Apex
  • Ability to work with an offshore team, experienced in handling team across various cultures and managing a remote team
  • Ability to recruit high quality, high value talent while maintaining a minimum of employee turnover
