Security and Trust are key pillars to Box, and the Trust Office of Box is accountable for building trusted products, maintaining trusted environments and advocating trust and transparency to customers and partners. As a key leader within the Trust Office, and reporting to the CSO, you will have a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of operational excellence for actionable intelligence.

What you'll do:

Lead our Global Security Operations team, which consists of 4 functions:

  1. SIRT (Security Incident Response Team)
  2. Detection Engineering (Design and build frameworks for logging/monitoring)
  3. Red Team (Ethical Hacking and Offensive Security)
  4. Automation (SOAR/Trust-Wide Automation Support)
  • Lead and mentor 4 leaders across multiple geographic regions
  • Liaise between Legal, Compliance and our Executive Leaders as the point of contact for the Trust Office
  • Support meeting SLA objectives for incident response
  • Support meeting compliance obligations around security operations
  • Drive innovation in automating incident response to be more efficient
  • Support assessing risk via adversary emulation and penetration testing infrastructure

Who you are:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years experience in Cyber Security and Security Operations
  • 4+ years experience with people management
  • You are a technical leader with experience leading Security Incident Response Teams (SIRT), Red Teams, Detection Engineering and Automation functions, across multiple locations
  • You are a U.S. Citizen who is willing to go through a security clearance process (Secret/TS)
  • You have experience with end-to-end incident response capabilities
  • You have previous experience at a technology company
  • You have a successful track record of scaling security operations programs and teams, including hiring, coaching and grooming future technologists
  • You have strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate through all parts of the business
  • You strive for operational excellence in all aspects of your work
