Box is looking for a passionate leader to manage and scale our Unified Communications & Collaboration team. In this role you will lead a team of operations engineers and collaborate with our support, real estate and governance partners to deliver best-in-class real-time audio/visual, collaboration, and communication solutions across all of our corporate offices globally. The ideal candidate should be highly people-oriented and have the ability to motivate and lead a diverse team in a highly collaborative, distributed environment.  The candidate needs to be able to develop and manage a long-term roadmap that employs the strategic use of tools and processes to build a world-class Unified Communications & Collaboration team. The candidate should also have exceptional analytical, communication, and problem solving skills and be comfortable interacting with all levels or organizations, including Executive Management. 
  • Establish a culture of excellence, trust, and responsibility within the Unified Communications & Collaboration team that aligns with Box’s core values.
  • Develop a UCC roadmap and financial plan that outlines long-term goals for the team and aligns with the overall IT Operations roadmap. Drive the team to execute against milestones on their way towards fulfilling these goals and commitments
  • Support the evolution of communications hardware and software systems designs through testing, validation and verification
  • Conduct design validation and field verification for system builds and upgrades locally and abroad
  • Function as an escalation point for issues concerning all AV systems (Conference room hardware, UCC platforms, digital signage and broadcasting systems)
  • Cross-departmental collaboration with teams like End User Services, Workplace Services, Internal Communications, Security and Compliance
  • Facilitating communication between headquarters and remote offices
  • Implement and maintain system configurations
  • BA/BS degree in Management, Audio/Video Production, Media, Broadcasting, Information Systems or equivalent degree/experience in related field
  • 5+ years A/V, UCC, and management experience, preferably at a fast-paced high-growth company.
  • Technical certifications in IT/AV domain (Crestron, AVIXA, Biamp, QSC, CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA)
  • Deep familiarity with cloud voice, video conferencing, and communications platforms (i.e. Zoom, RingCentral, Hangouts, Slack)
  • Advanced proficiency in collaboration technologies (device platforms, servers, UCaaS, networks, security, software, mobile, etc.)
  • Ability remain focused and calm during demanding and potentially stressful event productions
  • Exhibit professional decorum interfacing with executives and company leaders
  • High energy and passion for your work and achievements
  • Technical certifications in IT/AV domain (Crestron, AVIXA, Biamp, QSC, CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA)
  • Excellent teamwork skills
  • Willingness to go above and beyond
