It's an amazing time to be working at Box, especially for product managers. We have a large and fast-growing customer base that includes 70% of the Fortune 500 and over 92,000 customers worldwide. Yet we're small enough that individuals can still make a huge impact.

Box is looking for a senior, user-centric product leader for our Tasks team. We're passionate about rethinking the way people get work done and are developing exciting new products to further this goal. As the product manager for Tasks, you own defining and launching new, innovative content collaboration experiences for millions of users. You'll also partner with the Workflow and Notes teams to bring deeply integrated productivity solutions to market.

Why the team needs you

Our team is searching for someone who has the creativity to completely reimagine end users' legacy workflows, but also understands the complexity of meeting enterprise customer requirements. We want to fundamentally change how people work day to day inside of large enterprises! That type of change requires digging into the details; with our customers, with our designers, and with our engineers. We need someone who fluently speaks the language of all three groups and can drive alignment and execution. Do you thrive in a dynamic, highly collaborative environment? Do you have a knack for bringing simple user experiences to complex problems? We should talk!

Box is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.

Why you need Box

Tasks is a major component in our core strategic initiatives, so you'll be highly visible and engaged, both across the business and externally. One day you'll be partnering with engineering to define requirements for an upcoming feature. The next you'll be field testing future concepts with the CIO of a Fortune 500 customer. Our product managers have a high level of ownership, and interaction with many VP+ individuals to deliver the roadmaps and vision that they develop.

Who you are

You are a product person through and through. You instinctively default to being a customer advocate first and know how to balance that with the business analytics/metrics that drive success. You bring that ethos to work every single day, where you partner with design, analytics, and engineering team members to bring amazing products to market. You have formally led large, cross-team dependent projects and are comfortable in a player-coach role in the organization.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • You've got 7+ years under your belt as a PM / leader at a leading consumer or enterprise software company
  • You move fluidly between high-level strategy and execution: you are confident giving a presentation to the CEO and running a SCRUM meeting with engineers and designers
  • You're an organized, operational thinker who has a background in inspiring teams, managing complexity, and delivering world-class results
  • You have an innate curiosity and willingness to dive deep into a complex platform product
  • You have a strong technical and business background, CS/MBA preferred
