Box is looking to hire an intelligent, talented and energetic, in-house attorney or contract manager, to focus on complex business transactions and negotiating critical contracts for procurement and internal business stakeholders. This challenging role will encompass a range of legal matters, contract drafting, review and negotiation, privacy laws, federal and state regulations, intellectual property rights and a variety of other issues that may arise.
Support procurement and contracting activities: reviewing, drafting and negotiating vendor contracts, and managing various related strategic operational issues; establishing and monitoring preferred legal terms and precedents for contracting activity.
Deal with complex, significant matters that cut across legal and related areas, evaluate and weigh multiple inputs and impacts of decisions or course of action on the business.
Anticipate issues and estimate risks strategically.
Identify proactive solutions that will eliminate or mitigate risks.
Advise internal clients on contract status, legal risks and business terms of various deals.
An attorney or seasoned contracts manager with a minimum of 6 years of experience.
Overall broad legal knowledge in the field of procurement and contracts.
Demonstrated ability to provide business-oriented legal advice and recommendations.
Excellent business judgment and appropriate decision-making ability.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills combined with attention to detail and thoroughness.
Proven ability to “roll up” her/his sleeves and get involved at a detailed level.
Strong communication skills; ability to present clear and practical legal arguments.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a capacity to build strong working relationships across the organization.
Fast learning, self-starter with an outstanding record and demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
