The Role
We are seeking a dynamic and driven sales professional to develop and grow a channel program for Bottomline’s legal spend management division. In this role, you will spearhead the development and expansion of our channel ecosystem, targeting technology partners, Third Party Administrators, and Enterprise Legal Management providers within the Legal Spend Management sector.
As a Channel Manager, you will be responsible for establishing, managing, and growing strategic reseller and technology partnerships within the P&C Carrier and Corporate Legal markets.. You will work closely with our sales, marketing, and product teams to build a robust partner network that supports our growth objectives. Your role will involve identifying and onboarding new resellers, technology partners, and joint venture opportunities while nurturing and scaling existing relationships.
How you’ll contribute
- Partnership Development: Identify and establish relationships with potential resellers and technology partners in the Legal Spend Management sector. This includes solution providers, consultants, law firms, and other third-party vendors.
- Channel Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive partner strategy to increase revenue and market presence through reseller channels, co-selling opportunities, and integrated technology partnerships.
- Partner Enablement: Provide training, support, and resources to partners to ensure they can successfully promote and sell our Legal Spend Management solutions. This includes onboarding new partners and facilitating ongoing education.
- Sales and Revenue Growth: Collaborate with partners to drive sales pipeline growth. Identify opportunities for joint marketing campaigns, co-branded initiatives, and promotional strategies to accelerate sales.
- Partner Relationship Management: Cultivate strong, long-term relationships with partners to ensure mutual success. Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and strategic guidance to help partners meet their goals and drive business results.
- Market Intelligence: Stay up to date with industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs within the Legal Spend Management space. Use this knowledge to adjust partnership strategies and improve partner offerings.
- Performance Monitoring: Track and report on partner performance, sales targets, and KPIs. Provide regular updates to leadership on partnership outcomes and business growth.

- Proven experience (7+ years) as a Channel Manager or in a similar role, with a focus on building and managing reseller and technology partnerships.
- Experience in the Legal Spend Management, P&C Carrier, legal tech, or related industries is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of partner ecosystems, sales cycles, and channel management best practices.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth through partnerships, co-selling, and joint go-to-market strategies.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with teams such as sales, product, and marketing.
- Self-starter with strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred).
