The Role:
As a Manager of Sales Development, at Bottomline you will be a pivotal contributor to our sales development efforts with a specific focus on growing the pipeline for our business payments network, Paymode.
This role is perfect for a highly motivated individual with 6-8 years of professional experience eager to advance their sales career. You will collaborate with a diverse team and be responsible for delivering high quality opportunities for the sales team to nurture and close. You are a proven sales performer and sales manager. You have a solid understanding of the qualifying and discovery process with experience managing & growing teams in a high velocity sales environment
How you'll contribute:
- Hire, train, and manage a team of Sales Development Representatives whose role involves cold calling, prospecting, and opportunity qualification in a remote work environment
- Manage day to day activities of the SDR team regarding inbound and outbound prospecting strategies- including live coaching and mentoring, and reviewing inbound lead volume, queues and disposition, call statistics, conversions, and pipeline build
- Own SDR performance metrics and KPIs; Conduct performance reviews and development plans
- Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to improve the skill set and productivity of the team
- Work closely with Global Operations and peer SDR managers to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of pipeline generation activities leveraging best in class SDR tech (Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, Sales Navigator, Drift)
- Motivate and create a productive, competitive, results oriented and rewarding team environment
- Work cross functionally with multiple direct sales teams, partner sales, and marketing teams to drive towards the goal of generating revenue
- Provide ongoing essential feedback loop to Pipeline Marketing teams in what’s working and areas for message and program optimization to drive stronger conversion
What will make you successful:
- Experience and proven track record of successfully managing a team of 8+ SDRs to drive opportunities and revenue.
- Management experience with a proven track record of hiring, retaining, and developing individuals and team.
- Experience achieving and exceeding goals (as individual / manager) and building and managing key metrics for a sales organization.
- Strong interpersonal communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills
- An ability to adapt amidst rapid growth and change.
- Self-motivated, creative, empathetic, flexible with the ability to perform well under pressure.
- A positive attitude, willingness to roll up your sleeves and get it done
- Effective collaborator and communicator with ability to partner with related internal teams as well as with external partners and vendors
