Role

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to innovate, win, and grow with us in our Portsmouth, NH office! This person can be remote. 

The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for executing on the Digital Banking IQ product strategy as outlined by the Digital Banking IQ Banking Solutions segment by developing a product roadmap for the Digital Banking IQ Enterprise solutions.   

A specific focus of this role will be the formation and execution of the Digital Banking IQ Payments strategy and roadmap. Other areas of responsibility within the general Payments and Cash Management solution will also be assigned.

This role is the unifying person behind communication and execution, combining feedback from sales, marketing, professional services, development, quality assurance, prospects, and customers to communicate the vision and lead the execution on the new features and products.

How you’ll contribute:

This role is responsible for the providing input into an innovative product plan and roadmap for the Digital Banking Payments & Cash Management solution and executing on the delivery of that roadmap in the Digital Banking product releases.

Tactically they will be responsible for, among other things:

  • documenting Product Requirements
  • interfacing with Development to guide them on the product requirements & design.
  • maintaining visibility of delivery milestones.

Key Areas of Responsibility

The main duties will include:

  • Owns the execution of the delivery of functions in support of the innovative product plan and roadmap for Digital Banking Payments & Cash Management solution.
  • Execute against the product roadmap to drive product development and meet customer satisfaction & LOB financial objectives.
  • Oversee the product life cycle from concept through delivery.
  • Works closely with other Product Managers, the Sr. Director, and Vice President of Payments & Cash Management to ensure a coherent strategy and product experience across all of the Bottomline Payments products.
  • Work with internal stakeholders and external customers to define and prioritize product requirements.

 

Subject Matter Expertise required:

US Payments knowledge (Fedwire, ACH, real time payments/instant payments), International wire) and an understanding of Bank sold treasury management/cash management solutions (Balance and transaction reporting, positive pay solutions, lock box, controlled disbursements, e statements ).

The need to understand and have experience in software development practices/processes - this can come from experience within a bank, but it needs to in direct relation to solutions being developed.

A candidate that has performed product management within a bank and has performed some internal development will be most successful in this role.

A Sr. Product Manger must be able to multitask well, think on their feet in front of customers and internal peers, work at a rapid pace and anticipate work that needs to be done before being asked to complete it (independent thinker/ self-starter)

The role has a specific functional area to be supported.

A specific focus of this role will be the formation and execution of the Digital Banking Payments strategy and roadmap.

Other areas of responsibility within the general Payments and Cash Management solution will also be assigned.

An additional responsibility of the role will be the participation in our Customer Engagement initiative including

  • Requirement’s realization
  • Release reviews and previews (monthly)
  • Roadmap reviews quarterly
  • Early Access Sandbox Events (aka test fests)
  • Customer Advisory Forum events (quarterly and ad hoc)

What will make you successful:

  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Product Manager 
  • 5+ years managing technology products and success defining and launching applications.
  • Proven background in product management of innovative technology solutions, preferably in a SaaS environment. Exposure to Agile methodologies, especially SCRUM, is required.
  • Strong domain expertise in corporate payments and cash management
  • Worked in multi-product team environment.
  • Prepared to be both a team leader as well as individual contributor.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or beat assigned targets and deadlines consistently.
  • Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of designing software solutions.
  • Work in partnership with Sales to ensure sales staff is educated on the value statements of the product.
  • Ability to present in front of clients/prospects.
  • The ability to travel up to 10%
