Reporting to the Head of Pre-Sales, the Payments Pre-Sales Consultant will provide business and product consultancy services, in support of the Sales process, for the Bottomline Technologies PT-X product set. The role is field based covering (mainly) UK based clients. The Payments         Pre-Sales Consultant will be a Bottomline Technologies Subject Matter Expert providing:

• Grow - support the success & growth in sales
• Consult - trusted advisor to the customer defining solutions to business problems
• Customer Delight - support clean business in transition from sales to delivery team


Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the position are as follows:

• Delight customers and develop/demonstrate core competence in Bottomline solutions
• Focus on the Bottomline Technologies PT-X platform solutions with support and understanding of existing deployed solutions where appropriate
• Support the sales process through the provision of Bottomline solution expertise to Sales in relation to opportunity related and ad hoc enquiries
• Conduct product test drives of Bottomline solutions to prospective customers either on site or via webex
• Support technical and business based queries from client during the sales process
• Provide demonstrations and presentations at field events such as conferences and trade shows
• Develop and maintain demonstration systems for Bottomline solutions
• Provide functional and technical input to tender documents such as RFIs\RFPs etc
• Conduct scoping exercises, understanding and documentation of clients business requirements
• Increase the value of opportunities by understanding customer process challenges and by upselling benefits of additional solution components or      functions
• Provide professional services estimates for sales and services teams
• Provide relevant feedback to the product management teams on client needs and challenges and product releases in order to support product          development


Experience and Skills

The candidate will have:

• Ability to understand, interpret and document business processes
• Understanding of Windows based architecture as well as experience within the payments processing/banking sectors and ERP integration                projects
• Experience of dealing with customer queries and assisting Sales staff to accommodate customer needs
• Professional and polished abilities in presentation and demonstration to end users and C level audiences
• Excellent written and verbal skills
• Desire to progress in a flourishing business
• Understanding of project lifecycle
• Willing and open approach to working within and outside the team to achieve results
• Proven organisational skill and ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
• Experience of presenting to customer seminar/conference advantageous
• Experience of working in a Pre-Sales environment or associated roles in IT Sales/ Technical/ Business Development advantageous
• Good communicator - both verbal and written - with experienced use in MS Office
• Full clean driving licence
