Booster has redesigned the infrastructure required to deliver gas to consumers and enterprises by replacing the gas station with a mobile delivery truck. Booster is looking for a Regulatory Associate to join our Public Policy team to help scale our regulatory mission in the burgeoning industry of on-demand mobile fueling. Efforts will span local, state, and national levels over a wide range of regulatory verticals.

Successful candidates will be entrepreneurial, discontent with the status-quo and obsessed with improving anything they touch.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Painting the “Booster future” for policymakers and holding their hands through the journey into this future.

  • Supporting the growing Public Policy team in regulatory and legal matters. Examples of projects include: working with local and regional regulators to gain statewide compliance and build-out procedure, legal research, and working with other departments to develop a subsidy program for clients.

  • Working closely with Public Policy Managers on permitting matters to maintain compliance in jurisdictions which includes site mapping, building out the permit, and working with local government on permitting matters.

  • Helping to educate local and state-level policymakers on Booster’s local environmental, safety, public health, economic development, and tax benefits.

  • Focus will be on policy areas within fire prevention and air/land/water environmental protection.

Requirements:

  • Great attention to detail who is highly adaptable as things can change quickly in our world.

  • A self-starter who enjoys building things from the bottom up too. Our world can change fast, so you’ll need to be highly adaptable as well as calm under pressure.

  • A team player who has the ability to work with different teams (internally and externally). It’s why we’re looking for people who enjoy working with others to get stuff done—and who can deal with the ambiguity that sometimes comes from working cross-functionally.

  • A thirst for knowledge and desire to be a disrupter in an established industry.

  • Ability to frequently travel offsite for different regulatory meetings (City Hall, Customer Campuses, other regulatory agency offices, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • JD / Legal background or interest

  • Local and state level policy experience

  • Willing to relocate / heavy travel
