Bonobos is looking for a Senior UX Researcher with a range of experience—focusing on user research to help develop solutions and familiarity with responsive web and native apps.

To achieve this mission, our Tech team is seeking a strong Senior UX Researcher who can conduct exploratory, evaluative, qualitative, and quantitative research and analysis—then synthesize them into insights to create effective and elegant solutions to improve our digital and in-store products and experiences. The ideal candidate has strong self-management skills and can collaborate well with a variety of teams including Product Management, Product Design, Data Science, Engineering, Marketing, Customer Service, Brand Creative, Merchandising, Guideshop Ops, and other stakeholders.


You​:
● Have a strong command over exploratory, evaluative, quantitative, and qualitative user research methods, such as customer interviews, ethnography, usability testing, concept testing, card sorting, on-site surveys, user journey mapping, and contextual inquiry
● Are able to design, plan and execute research projects: scripts and screeners, moderating, analysis, synthesis and deliver recommendations based on findings
● Are organized and are able to manage concurrent projects involving cross-functional teams
● Must have experience working directly with product, design, engineering, and other business stakeholders to discover and implement research recommendations
● Communicate and present insights to stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner
● Are able to package insights into deliverables and tools for product managers,
designers, engineers, and other stakeholders to use
● Build systems and processes to aid in recruitment and management of research projects
that can facilitate and shape the UX process
● Create, own and maintain personas, journey maps and other research assets
● Help promote and foster a culture of user research and empathy for users
● Educate and mentor junior researchers and designers in research methods and best
practices
● Have a portfolio with specific examples that demonstrate your thinking and research
process to produce a great user experience that drives business; and/or design process and polished interfaces
● Have a knack for identifying user needs and goals, task and workflow modeling, ethnography and persona development as well as rapid iterative usability testing, and more formal, in-depth testing
● Conduct research both online and in the field and provide recommendations for improvements and new ideas or features
● Serve as a member of a team that acts as a 'repository' of research-based customer behavior, need, and usability knowledge
● Test business requirements using heuristic/qualitative methods
● Determine user needs by conducting task-focused analyses
● Are data-driven—gathering or working with another's user research and analytics to
inform your approach
● Think big picture and detail-oriented
● Are honest and humble and can give and take critique productively
● Have fluency with design research tools such as usertesting.com, FullStory, AppSee,
Axure, etc.
● Have a passion to support the creation new, unique, game-changing experiences in the
digital space
