POSITION: USGA P.J. Boatwright internship (3 months, Women's Championships)

AVAILABLE: May 2023 to August 2023

DESCRIPTION:

This position is an approximately 3-month long internship that provides exposure to all aspects of golf and sports communications including photography, videography, writing, social media and graphic design. The primary focus of this position will be to assist the TGA communications staff in tournament communications and multimedia projects. The position will also include elements of tournament operations. This position is based out of Golf House Tennessee in Franklin, approximately 25 miles south of Nashville, Tennessee.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assist TGA communications staff in content creation at championships across Tennessee.  This position will provide hands-on experience and opportunities in all aspects of sports and golf tournament communications including, but not limited to: player photography, promotional videos, graphic design, and social media account management.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Strong communication skills; in-person and through various media platforms
  • Golf background or strong interest in golf
  • Willingness to work in a team atmosphere
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Willingness to travel across the state for extended periods of time
  • Able to work outside in extreme weather and temperatures
  • Ability to lift and manage equipment up to 50 pounds
  • Own transportation and a valid driver’s license

COMPENSATION:

This is a paid internship
TGA staff apparel and uniforms
Business-related travel expenses paid for by the TGA
