This position is an approximately 3-month long internship that provides exposure to all aspects of golf administration including member services, handicapping, and course rating. The primary focus of this position will be to assist the TGA Competitions staff in the administration and operation of USGA Qualifiers as well as assist with course rating across the state. This position is based from Golf House Tennessee in Franklin, which is approximately 25 miles south of Nashville, TN.
REQUIREMENTS:
Strong communication skills
Golf background or strong interest in golf
Willingness to work in a team atmosphere
Willingness to work in a fast paced environment
Willingness to travel across the state for extended periods of time
Able to work outside in extreme weather and temperatures
Own transportation and a valid driver's license
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with coordinating and conducting 13 USGA qualifiers, including golf course set-up, communication with host site and players, volunteer coordination and day-of operations.
Be a member of the TGA course rating team, which will rate between 20-25 course during the internship. Collection of pre-rating information as well as data input will be part of the position.

This is a paid internship.
