Blur Studio is seeking a dynamic and hands-on Senior CG Production professional to Produce various high-profile CG Animation projects potentially including game trailers, short episodic content, and commercials.  This experienced Producer’s main responsibility will be to help proactively manage all aspects of the project so the project delivers on time, on schedule, and on budget, identifying obstacles and troubleshooting necessary solutions along the way. Responsibilities will include effectively motivating Production teams and facilitating efficient workflows through creativity, analysis, solid communication, and a strong work ethic. This Producer will work closely with the Directors, Executive Producers, Production staff, and all Creative Supervisors to help define and manage project scope while laying out daily requirements and goals for the creative teams working on the project while exceeding client expectations.  They will also assist with the project’s overall goals including overseeing and facilitating communications between the clients and development facilities, helping to analyze financial reports related to production decisions and workflows, project goals, and methodologies. 

Qualified applicants will have 10+ years of experience in line-producing, negotiating, managing contract administration contracts, handling entertainment business affairs, budgeting, and growing Production teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure project goals, priorities, schedule requirements, and specifications for deliverable items are understood and agreed upon by the development teams and the client
  • Oversee the acquisition and delivery of project materials
  • Strategize workflows and methodologies best suited for the projects and the pipeline
  • Establish project assumptions, expectations, and metrics for success
  • Maintain a sense of calm and camaraderie
  • Update and inform Managers and Supervisors as needed
  • Mentor and Supervise Production staff so they can react quickly and efficiently to problems, strategize, and continually plan ahead
  • Suggest creative solutions when appropriate
  • Edit and check job estimates and working budget
  • Oversee ongoing job cost analysis as the project progresses and analyze findings
  • Work with EPs and Supervisors and artist schedules with creative milestones
  • Continually check the status of projects, budget, and team
  • Oversee the flow of information between Production and Accounting
  • Check invoices and accounting summaries for accuracy and potential problems
  • Attend and help conduct weekly production and financial meetings
  • Collaborate with the production accountant to create cost reports and be prepared to present and explain all project financials to the show executives
  • Make sure client needs are met with first-class service
  • Keep Executive Producers and Creative Directors involved and updated regarding client communications and approval points
  • Ensure the delivered work meets or exceeds the job specs and internal quality standards
  • Confirm that clients are informed of any overages or problems resulting from their input
  • Oversee and audit final actuals
  • Review project credits
  • Confirm files are archived and post-mortems are completed to satisfaction
  • Support and facilitate action items and improvements as appropriate

 

Rates are based on experience level.
Compensation: $140,000 - $165,000 / year
