About the Web Experience & Content team:

The Web Experience & Content team at Bluevine is a group responsible for creating the first impression we present to small businesses in search of better banking solutions. As a team we are the strategists, architects, designers, developers, producers and testers who create and optimize to reduce barriers in the journey for our customers. Our ambition is to deliver best in-class customer experiences on the web and mobile to support customer growth, retention and engagement for our banking and lending products.

 

About The Role:

Bluevine is seeking an accomplished and innovative Sr. Digital Experience Optimization Manager to be responsible for the ongoing testing, optimization and personalization roadmap across Bluevine.com. 

Success in the role is accomplished by building a robust test and learn strategy, including conversion rate optimization (CRO), leading to both short and long-term performance improvements across website features and content. 

You will own the Bluevine.com tagging infrastructure and implementation, and data analysis to drive outcomes that constantly improve key business metrics and performance.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Growth Marketing, you will partner closely with Design, Product Marketing, Growth Marketing, Marketing Analytics, Communications, Legal and Engineering teams to initiate, manage and deliver projects across our Bluevine.com roadmap. The role is both strategic and executional; strength in both and the ability to flex back and forth is critical.  As the primary point of contact for optimization on Bluevine.com, this candidate will lead project initiation, design, development and project management activities. 

You will partner with user experience strategy and content strategy teams to deliver a great experience for Bluevine prospects and customers. 

An ideal candidate will have experience working in a customer-centric environment, and will have led the development of notable end to end website and mobile design and optimization programs with a strong expertise working with leading marketing technology software solutions for content management systems, customer data platforms, analytics and will be most comfortable when applying this expertise toward designing and delivering new and innovative online experiences. The ideal candidate will be an expert in website conversion rate optimization (CRO) and leverage user research, analytics, personalization and ongoing testing to drive ongoing website performance improvement. You will be proficient in SEO best practices to inform content strategy and website technology roadmaps.

This role requires someone who is a self-starter, is analytical, detail oriented and thrives in a data and results-driven environment. Having a track record working in fast-moving and high-tech environments, having a passion for supporting SMB businesses and having the skills to collaborate and deliver successfully when working across a large cross-functional team will set an ideal candidate up for success in this role.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

PLANNING:

  • Have a deep understanding of our business, needs, expectations, requirements, and of digital experience testing methodologies (A/B, multivariate, etc.)
  • Own the ongoing Bluevine.com Web & Content optimization strategy, implementing test that support an end to end customer journey for key personas / segments
  • Creating process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and interaction models, resulting in low to high fidelity prototypes
  • Partner with engineering and operations to maintain and improve the marketing technology tools and systems used to bring more personalized outputs to our customers with speed and stability
  • Take charge of establishing the strategy, timelines, deliverables, and tool selection for managing multiple project streams.
  • Ensure that stakeholder and leadership signoff is obtained at key points during projects

EXECUTION:

  • Design & Develop end to end customer experience optimization programs, build a robust and repeatable website test and learn process that improves conversion.
  • Partner on landing page strategies for acquisition and lifecycle programs 
  • Deliver an ongoing content calendar, improving speed to market and expanding team capabilities into new content types
  • Implement SEO & CRO programs to meet new customer growth / ROI targets
  • Work cross-functionally with peers on product marketing, design, engineering, risk, data science, and insights to develop a web/mobile product roadmap and execute flawlessly against that plan
  • Have overall responsibility for delivery health of Bluevine projects, facilitating project-related team meetings (i.e. kick-offs, stand-ups, status, reviews, etc.), communicating action steps to the team, and delivering weekly project updates to leadership
  • Help update processes and standards for project management design and technical documentation
  • Direct vendor/third party relationships to support project execution 

OUTPUT

  • Communicate project status daily, weekly and monthly during key business reviews
  • Lead test analysis and retrospective meetings to drive action, learn from and improve web performance
  • Constantly monitor traffic, funnel conversion, page performance metrics and ROI
  • Build team expertise by mentoring team members and offering training in relevant methodologies, techniques, frameworks, etc.
  • Proactively work to define and/or improve personalization policies and procedures

WHAT WE LOOK FOR:

  • 8+ years of experience in Digital Experience Optimization, with hands-on experience in UI/UX design
  • 5+ years of experience in project management or web delivery function, working within cross functional teams, and involvement in software/technology or marketing
  • 4+ years experience working in Jira PMO software
  • 3+ years of experience designing digital experiences tailored for small businesses.
  • Bachelor's Degree required / Advanced Degree preferred
  • Top of your game regarding testing and optimization, modern product development skills, web/mobile design and content management, web/mobile analytics and organic search 
  • Knowledge and direct experience working with leading digital experience tech platforms: 
    • Experimentation platforms (e.g. Optimizely, VWO, Adobe Test & Target)
    • Site-side analytics and customer data tools (Google Analytics, Segment, etc.)
    • CMS and/or web-tech platforms (e.g. WordPress, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, etc)
  • Passion for Bluevine, its mission, and marketing to small and medium-sized businesses

New Hire Base Salary Range: $119,800-$146,700
This role is also eligible to earn annual performance-based incentive compensation in the form of a cash bonus.
