We are looking for a Senior Warehouse Associate for our Warehouse in Yonkers, New York to work as part of our Design & Supply chain function.

This is a great opportunity for anyone that is keen to grow their career in a fast-paced, high-performing team that is managing our global supply chain.

What you will focus on:

  • Oversee daily operations, while controlling and managing inventory and logistics
  •  Unload and load furniture orders which will require manually moving large, heavy goods and staging them.
  • Load and unload products from delivery trucks and vendor shipments
  • Stage deliveries
  • Store all products in designated location

  • Work with the warehouse team to prep and repair home furnishing products
  • Attention to detail is a must including understanding labels and matching labels with product
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and maintenance within the working environment and with all equipment and tools.
  • Maintain stock and merchandise area, keep it organized and clean while following safety standards
  • Repair broken furniture
  • Put our peoples' safety as a top priority
  • Lead various projects to improve efficiency and space utilization
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and implement Blueground standards and procedures while complying with legal regulations
  • Coordinates with other departments to ensure timely, damage-free, accurate flow of product through the facility.
  • Provides training, support, direction and guidance to team members to develop job skills and effectively evaluate and document individual performance and development by ensuring high operational standards.
  • Celebrates and embraces individuality, inclusion and partnership; builds relationships and seeks out feedback for continuous self-development.
  • Be willing to go on delivery with team for training

What we are looking for:

  • Comfortable delivering frequent direct written and verbal feedback
  • Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedures and policy
  • 3+ years experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees
  • Ability to work with all levels of company staff
  • Computer skills required (G suite products, slack) and comfortable with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Final mile delivery software (TBD)
  • Ability to make decisions, problem solve, prioritize assignments, and direct the workforce in an ever-changing, very fast-paced warehouse environment
  • Leadership skills: Motivate, mentor, coach, and influence people; how to give effective feedback, with follow-up for results; ability to work effectively in a networking structure.
  • Bilingual (English, Spanish)
