We are looking for an Associate Operations Manager/Senior Guest Operations Specialist to join our Hong Kong-based team. The ideal candidate should be a stickler for detail, proactive, and thoughtful as to ensure that the property is continuously in pristine condition for our guests. The role is primarily responsible for assisting our Operations Team in preparing new units, ensuring that existing units are perfect for our guests, and handling any issues or emergencies that arise. These issues include but are not limited to guest lockouts, emergency relocations, and communication to keep Operations Managers informed of potential repairs and actions being taken.

What you will mostly focus on:

  • Perform check-in/out reports (snag lists) for our properties according to business standards
  • Conduct on the spot repairs to properties after a check-in/out report and during guest stay
  • Assist the Operations Manager with furnishing new units, including layouts, creating snag lists, photoshoot styling and ensuring the apartment is guest-ready
  • Transport inventory items from our warehouse to properties
  • Supervise handyman while working on resolving an emergency in our apartments (locksmith, plumber, etc.)
  • Assist with data entry and general administration tasks
  • Manage viewings at Blueground properties for prospective clients or partners
  • Perform messenger related duties such as collecting paperwork, delivering items, and receiving mail

What we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of progressive work experience, preferably in the area of business operations or services in a start-up, SME or large corporation
  • Fluency in both English & Cantonese
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills put to use in a fast pace environment
  • Willingness to get their hands dirty as needed to achieve operational excellence
  • Can do domestic repairs and troubleshooting, including basic plumbing knowledge
  • Hard-working with good attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure, flexible and adaptable in nature
  • Confident user of technology (email, Slack, G suite)
  • A positive, confident, upbeat, and friendly personality
  • Comfortable working on the field and on your feet - visiting multiple locations each day
