As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will proactively monitor our platform and analyze and resolve issues together with development teams before being noticed by our customers. You will help scale our infrastructure and software to meet the growth in customers and usage without jeopardizing the stability of our platform.

In this role, you will:

  • Ensure our production platforms on AWS are highly reliable, available, and performing better than promised to our customers.
  • Ensure our production platforms and software are scalable to support the growth of customers and their use.
  • Analyze and identify bottlenecks and optimizations in infrastructure and software and implement them together with relevant teams.
  • Respond to and resolve incidents and use them for further improvements.
  • Define and implement insights for increased visibility on the use of the production platforms and software.
  • Define and implement auto-healing and auto-recovery capabilities to further strengthen reliability.

We are looking for someone with the following skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Software engineer or Site Reliability Engineer.
  • Knowledge of AWS services (some services we use: EC2, ECS, CloudFront, Config, GuardDuty, Lambda, SES, SNS, and many more).
  • Professional knowledge of and hands-on experience with Java and related tooling such as YourKit.
  • Excellent software engineering skills.
  • Expertise in Docker for managing containerized applications.
  • Experienced in using and extending observability tooling like Splunk, OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling.
  • You have a deep sense of security and apply this in all your activities.
  • You are flexible and willing to perform on-call duties every 4 to 5 weeks.
