HOW YOU’LL FLY

You'll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by: 

  • Accounting for and supporting the operational aspects for the Inventory cycle including COGs, Bill of Materials (BOM’s), inventory management & reconciliations, variance analysis.
  • Managing and improving cost accounting models as well as grow and scale our Oracle costing system.
  • Managing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process for costing and inventory module, to ensure accuracy of transactions, journal entries, account analysis.
  • Generating accurate and timely inventory and costing reports to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborating with the finance team when preparing financial analysis of manufacturing variances, gross margin, and excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Reviewing standard costs quarterly and cost roll-ups for drug products, investigating and resolving significant variances.
  • Successfully partnering with FP&A, technical accounting and the functional business owners in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting of manufacturing costs, monthly close and reporting of actual cost versus the budget and the most recent forecast and preparation of and explanation for key performance indicators.
  • Driving and supporting CMO and internal manufacturing finance controls and processes with a continuous improvement methodology.
  • Interacting with internal and external auditors, providing various analysis and audit schedules to ensure compliance with internal control procedures
  • Other related tasks as needed

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have: 

  • 10+ years of experience in cost accounting, with at least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • MBA or Certification in Cost Accounting preferred but not required. CPA preferred.
  • Experience in cost accounting for the biotech / pharmaceutical manufacturing industries that has both internal and external manufacturing and testing costs. 
  • Experience building and leading a team.
  • Are familiar with Oracle SCM or a similar platform.
  • Excellent business partnership and team development skills.
  • Results-orientation with the proven ability to execute on collaborative projects and develop subject matter expertise.

 

Location:  Remote within the Northeast. Preference for candidates based in MA or NJ. 

 

 

Compensation & Benefits 

We offer a total compensation and rewards package that ranks among the best in our industry. Base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The anticipated annualized salary range for this role is $205,000-$238,000. Your base pay will be determined based on several factors including market data, demonstrated skills, relevant education or training, experience, qualifications, internal equity, and travel requirements. Our overall package also includes eligibility for stock, incentive bonuses, and benefit programs, a flexible time off program, as well as paid holidays, bluebird days, and a holiday shutdown in December.
