HOW YOU’LL FLY
You’ll help to bring more patients their bluebird days by:
- Perform monthly accounting close activities, including reviewing journal entries, account reconciliations and analysis for high-risk areas including, research and development accrued expenses. Identify and develop ideas to improve accounting processes and procedures and gain system efficiency. Perform all general ledger accounting functions including hiring, training, close calendars and leading a team of accountants. Support the quarterly review and annual audit process with external auditors. Position is fixed location based in Somerville, MA office; with expectation of being in the office 2 days per week.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
You’re the bird we’re looking for if you have:
Requires a bachelor’s in accounting, Finance, or a related field plus five (5) years of experience as a Manager of Accounting, or any occupation/position/job title involving accounting experience.
Experience may be gained concurrently and must include:
Five (5) years in each of the following:
- Annual audit process including SOX controls, audit requests, or financial reporting preparation
- Microsoft Excel
Four (4) years in each of the following:
- Collecting and analyzing data efficiently and effectively, and use of accepted accounting procedures
- Working on or reviewing clinical trial and manufacturing accruals, account reconciliations, quarterly account fluctuation, or financial statement footnotes
Two (2) years in each of the following:
- Financial ERP systems including Oracle, Blackline, and Workiva
- Monthly system close including Oracle projects module
