Within the broader Product Organization under the Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Bluebeam, Product Management’s overall mandate is to deliver long-term and deep customer value to drive company growth, customer delight and category leadership. The VP or Product Management will provide leadership to an organization of Product Management and Product Design/User Experience leaders and professionals. 

 

As the Vice President of Product Management, you are expected to make strategic, often company-wide plans, which means you’ll be responsible for: managing the product roadmap, ensuring consistent delivery of value to our customers, development of new products and services that meet market needs, how product strategies can scale the business – in the US and Internationally, and how to deliver long-term value to continuously delivery long-term value to Bluebeam’s customers. In close partnership with Engineering leadership, the Vice President of Product Management will drive the product organization in defining and executing against a product roadmap that aligns with broader business goals.

Key Areas of Impact 

  • Own, manage and execute on a product roadmap that aligns and delivers on Bluebeam’s strategic company objectives
  • Build, develop, and lead a product management and design organization focused on imagining, defining, and delivering the right product for the right set of customers at the right time and the right price, in alignment with our company purpose, vision and business objectives
  • Based on intimate knowledge of the market and competitive landscape, own the development and execution of product initiatives that accelerate company growth 
  • Lead all aspects of product lifecycle management from ideation to end-of-life, working across functions to ensure the ongoing success of our entire product line
  • Own the end-to-end process of product discovery, partnering closely with our customers, to deliver highly differentiated, industry leading solutions
  • Oversee the creation of powerful and varied channels to allow Bluebeam to deeply listen to our customers, intimately understand their workflows, business objectives and the challenges they face to ensure we build high value products that help our customers achieve their most critical objectives
  • Create and foster a culture of commercial business planning and analytically-informed decision-making throughout the Products team
  • Foster a creative, collaborative and innovative approach to product design and development that continually challenges the status quo and encourages our teams to not only deliver needed functionality, but do it a way that delights our customers and stamps the solution as uniquely Bluebeam
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing to ensure products and objectives align with the target market
  • In partnership with Product Marketing, lead the product packaging, licensing, pricing and commercialization of our product offerings in a way that can be successfully monetized and brought to market

 

The skills and experience of the ideal Vice President, Product Management candidate: 

  • 10+ years of product management experience, with at least 5 years in a people manager role
  • 8+ years of experience specifically working in B2B technology markets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • History of delivering results and leading with a balanced focus on both analytical business planning and rapid execution
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment with ability to work with Engineering leadership to lead process adjustments that improve collaboration, performance, time-to-market and product quality
  • Proficient in modern product planning, customer discovery and product development processes.
  • Excels at working cross-functionally, aligning multiple stakeholders and teams across organizations
  • Experience with global product strategy and product localization efforts, directly enabling regional business development planning and in alignment with associated international sales and marketing efforts across various channel types
  • Strategic thinker who can reduce broad strategies into well-defined Product Development plans 
  • Analytical and data-driven
  • Ability to understand and connect technical details to meaningful customer value 
  • Self-starter who has experience leading product management and UI/UX design teams
  • Experience in AECO or in cloud-based, collaboration product workflows is preferred.
  • Degree in software engineering, engineering, or related field. MBA strongly preferred.
  • Occasional travel will be required
