Blue Apron is seeking a Senior Culinary Manager to oversee the language, style, and accuracy for every recipe developed in the test kitchen. You’ll use your ace command of language and passion for food to create the best cooking experience for our customers. This is a full-time manager position overseeing a team of 4.
Duties and responsibilities
● Oversee core product recipe language, style, and accuracy ● Manage the culinary editorial team ● Work cross-functionally with Production, Brand, and Marketing as it relates to recipe cards ● Work cross-fucntionally with with Customer Insights to refine and diversify the content on recipe cards ● Write and edit dynamic copy while working within the boundaries of our brand’s voice and regulatory language ● Engage with our packaging team to craft compelling copy for our ingredients ● Maintain our recipe style guide ● Partner with our innovation team to help bring life to new products through recipe content ● Maintain and create new SOPs as needed to create efficient workflow ● Work with engineering as needed to advise on more efficient tools ● A pro at project management
Education ● A Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, English, or related field ● Either a culinary degree or extensive culinary experience
Experience ● 6 to 8 years working in food editing, recipe development, and/or publishing ● Experience working in a recipe database ● Experience managing people Skills & Knowledge ● Extensive culinary knowledge ● Recipe writing and editing ● Excellent attention to detail ● Excellent organizational skills ● G Suite
● Adobe Creative Suite ● Experience working with an organization application such as Asana or Trello ● Ability to establish efficient process in a dynamic work environment
