As the Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be the go-to expert for handling customer and internal inquiries on billing, invoices, credit adjustments, contract reviews, collections, and all things related to accounts receivable. The core function of this role is to ensure an excellent past-due aging profile and deliver precise cash flow forecasts for Customers within your portfolio. While collections will be the main focus, you’ll also step in to manage billing for your portfolio during peak times. Your job will be to:
- Serve as the main point of contact for customers and internal teams on all accounts receivable inquiries, including billing, invoices, credit adjustments, and contract reviews.
- Proactively manage a global portfolio of customers across the US and Europe, ensuring timely collections and maintaining an excellent past-due aging profile.
- Accurately forecast cash flow to support financial planning and business growth.
- Handle billing processes for assigned customers, particularly during peak periods, while balancing collections responsibilities.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to streamline processes and resolve customer issues efficiently.
- Support the AR Manager in driving key projects and initiatives to improve back-end financial processes.
You have the following experience and qualities:
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in Accounts Receivable, ideally within a global or fast-paced environment.
- Proven track record of managing a large, diverse portfolio of customers, especially across international markets (US & Europe preferred).
- Strong experience with collections processes, cash flow forecasting, and maintaining an excellent aging profile.
- Familiarity with billing systems and procedures (Netsuite preferred), with a solid understanding of invoice management and credit adjustments.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams to resolve accounts receivable queries and improve financial processes.
- Proficiency in financial software systems (e.g. Salesforce and Tesorio preferred) and Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis.
