The Role

You will be a key driving force in continuing Bloomerang’s sales team growth, specifically in our SMB and Mid-Market segments. Be a senior sales leader who is obsessed with exceeding quota, execution, accountability and operational excellence. As a key contributor, you will propel the continued growth of Bloomerang's sales team, with particular emphasis on our SMB and Mid-Market segments. 

What You Will Do

Sales Strategy & Leadership: 

  • Develop and execute the overall sales strategy for the SMB and Mid-Market segment, aligned with Bloomerang’s  goals and objectives 
  • Architect, implement and drive accountability for a clear sales strategy, processes, and methodologies to drive revenue growth 
  • Lead, motivate, and inspire a team of SMB and Mid-Market sales leaders, providing guidance and support to foster a high-performance sales culture. 
  • Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies, sales motions and identify areas for improvement. 
  • Ability to embrace and communicate change management along with an ability to inspire and motivate team members

Performance Analysis: 

  • Analyze and assess the performance of the sales team, identifying areas for improvement and implementing tailored coaching plans to address weaknesses 
  • Regularly review sales metrics and KPIs to drive data-driven performance improvements 
  • Provide executive leadership weekly forecast projections for a monthly cadence business

Coaching and Mentorship: 

  • Provide hands-on coaching, mentorship, and professional development to the SMB and Mid-Market sales team to enhance their selling skills, position them to hit revenue targets and achieve personal growth. 
  • Create a structured and scalable coaching program that empowers Sales Managers and Account Executives  to consistently meet and exceed their targets. 

Talent Acquisition & Development

  • Attract the right talent with the skills, experience, and attitude required to succeed in the role. 
  • Define ideal candidate profiles along with effective interviewing and assessment techniques: combination of interviews, role-plays, and skills assessments to evaluate a candidate's sales skills, knowledge, and potential
  • Develop career path and opportunities for Account Executives and Sales Managers

Customer Relationship Building: 

  • Collaborate with sales team members to build and maintain strong relationships with key prospects and strategic accounts. 
  • Assist in negotiations with high-value prospects, providing coaching and expertise as needed. 
  • Act an executive sponsor on key pursuits.  Establish a relationship at a C-Level with the prospect’s organization.  This includes actively participating in prospect meetings such as key demo's, negotiation meetings, etc. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Build predictable and repeatable sales funnel processes and best practices across multiple teams, including business development, services, and sales enablement
  • Partner with cross functional efforts across Sales Ops, Finance, Product, and Marketing to  remove obstacles and close deals 
  • Collaborate with other departments, including marketing, product development, and customer success, to ensure alignment and a seamless customer experience. 
  • Work closely with the marketing team and BDRs to develop targeted campaigns and initiatives that resonate with the SMB and Mid-Market audience. 

 

What You Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years of sales success, preferably in a high growth company 
  • 4+ years of senior leadership (VP, Head, AVP, RVP) experience, with experience leading distributed teams of Sales Managers and Account Executives consistently exceeding revenue targets
  • A bias for action - someone who sees what needs to be done and can work cross functionally and collaboratively to execute
  • Experience in high velocity transactional volume SaaS application or financial services sales supporting and growing SMB/Mid-Market businesses
  • Experience with the technology stack and tool utilization- Salesforce, Outreach, Gong, Google Suite
  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven approach to decision-making and a track record of successfully executing complex sales strategies. 
  • Proven ability to generate and execute innovative ideas and process improvements that drive the business forward. 
  • Extensive experience in a metrics and data driven sales organization - an analytical mindset and a proven track record of accurately managing sales forecasts.
  • A motivational and uplifting leader. Someone who is so much more than a manager and has a knack for getting the best out of people. 
  • Exceptional coaching and mentoring skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and inspire a high-performing sales team. 
  • A high bar and demonstrated success in recruiting and enabling top talent
  • Proven ability to work with and influence cross-functional teams and departments in a rapidly  growing environment 
  • Strong ability to interact and influence effectively with C-level executives and team members

Compensation

 

The total salary range for this position is: $275,000-$350,000, which includes incentive compensation. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.

 

Location

This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters. We do not offer Visa sponsorship or relocation assistance at this time.
