The Role

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) it is your job to set up appointments and find potential clients for the sales team. You will qualify leads from inbound marketing campaigns as well as contact potential clients through cold calls and emails. Your primary tool is usually the telephone, though you also might find new business through email and social media campaigns.

The ideal candidate for the Business Development Representative role at Qgiv is a proactive and motivated individual who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They should have exceptional verbal and written communication skills, allowing them to effectively generate new prospects and re-engage leads through outbound methods. Strong time management and organizational abilities are essential for maintaining a clean and updated sales CRM. They should also demonstrate a competitive drive and the self-motivation needed to consistently meet and exceed expectations. 

 

Goals 

  • Generate prospects through strategic marketing campaigns.
  • Nurture relationships with potential customers. 
  • Conduct calls to qualify our software products and services to leads.
  • Manage prospect data within our Salesforce CRM dashboard, making sure that all relevant communications and contact data is verified and logged.
  • Set qualified appointments for the Account Executive team.
  • Become intimately familiar with our internal tools and an expert at managing your time
  • Consistently display timeliness, professionalism, a desire to learn, and that you contribute an improvement to the Qgiv sales lead generation process.
  • Provide other related and supporting duties as they are required.

  • Acquiring industry knowledge and becoming a product expert will take some time
  • High volume ofLots and lots of outbound cold calls and hearing the word “No” more times than getting a yes a lot

 

Actions 

  • Use Salesforce to create your call list for the day based off previous outreach touch points
  • Follow the 10-touch point process for all leads
  • Document all calls and emails in Salesforce
  • Call marketing leads and identified target lists provided by the company
  • Researching and contacting prospect companies; telemarketing background is a plus
  • Able to present an accurate and professionally delivered pre-qualified description and be able to answer basic product-related questions to potential lead contacts
  • Highly organized and a strong follow-up mentality

 

Results

  • At least 90 calls a day or 1.5 hours of talk time
  • Minimum of 10 completed demos a month via outreach campaigns
  • Minimum of 5 new accounts each month

 

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent, some college preferred
  • Experience working in a client-facing position
  • Ability to use standard office equipment
  • This is a full-time, hybrid position working in the Lakeland, FL office.
  • The first 90 days will be onsite in Lakeland, with the option to work from home 1 day per week beyond that.

Work Conditions 

This position is in an office environment. You will be working in seated positions for extended periods using a computer and other standard office equipment.
