We are looking for a Finance Controller, based in Vilnius, who is looking to roll up their sleeves to help build the accounting infrastructure and processes that will support growth in a fast, yet controlled manner. Reporting to and working with the Controller for the EMEA region, this person is comfortable and confident in a high growth company where structure, procedures, and policy are in development, familiar with a fast pace, and is able to prioritize in building a scalable, efficient accounting and reporting function.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Manage and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely records of all financial transactions
- Responsible for financial reporting for regulatory and compliance
- Maintain P&L and balance sheet reconciliations, identify and research any large variances
- Review and approve invoices for payment and resolve any discrepancies
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports, ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and regulations
- Prepare VAT returns and ensure timely filing of returns
- Support in any financial statement audits required for your entities under remit
- Assist with establishing internal controls procedures and processes
- Perform ad-hoc projects
WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
- Professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, etc.)
- 5+ years experience in accounting
- Preference for prior experience in crypto, fintech, or start-up environments
- Ability to prioritize efficiently in a dynamic environment with constantly changing and competing demands.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IFRS, UK/EU GAAP, US GAAP)
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software (NetSuite, Trovata, FloQast)
- Interest in the crypto industry and awareness of the changes occurring in global regulations
