Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Product to join our team. As the Director of Product, you will lead the charge in defining and enhancing how we track and interact with gaming activities globally. This role offers a significant opportunity to shape our strategic direction and innovate within the gaming industry.

This position requires all hires to be onsite Monday - Thursday out of our Los Angeles (Playa Vista) office, with the option to WFH on Friday.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with Blitz’s long-term vision. Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative product features that enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
  • Team Management: Direct and expand a team of product managers, designers, and engineers, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Product Roadmap Oversight: Own the product roadmap, defining key performance indicators (KPIs) and ensuring that all product initiatives support the strategic goals of the organization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a senior leader, driving product initiatives across the company. Collaborate with business leads, data scientists, and other stakeholders to ensure that product decisions are informed by data-driven insights.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct competitive analysis and market research to stay ahead of industry trends and ensure Blitz maintains a competitive edge in the gaming and activity tracking markets.
  • User-Centric Innovation: Lead user research and A/B testing to continuously refine and optimize the product experience based on user feedback and behavior.
  • Go-to-Market Strategy: Develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies, overseeing product launches to ensure they meet user adoption and satisfaction goals.

What It Takes

  • Experience: 10+ years in product management with proven leadership in managing and directing product teams.
  • Expertise: Extensive experience in digital product management, particularly in activity tracking platforms, with a successful track record of launching and scaling products.
  • Technical Acumen: Strong background in either product design, software engineering, or data science, with the ability to make informed decisions based on both quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Strategic Thinking: Excellent strategic and analytical skills, with the ability to turn complex ideas into actionable plans.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to communicate and persuade across all levels of the organization, championing product vision and strategy.
  • Passion for Gaming: Deep understanding of the gaming industry, particularly MOBAs like League of Legends, is highly desirable
