Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior IT Applications Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our IT applications, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and workflow improvements. This role requires expertise in various IT applications, identity and access management, and the ability to support cross-functional teams with technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- IT Applications Management: Administer and optimize IT applications including Okta, Slack, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, and Zoom.
- Integration and Automation: Implement and maintain integrations, automations, and workflows within IT applications. Experience with Okta SSO and SCIM is essential.
- Onboarding and Offboarding: Automate onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Identity and Access Management: Manage identity and access IT Applications, including role-based access control (RBAC).
- MDM Tools Administration: Manage and maintain Intune and JAMF for Application management on devices. Implement and Manage Zero Trust access controls for IT Applications from laptops, phones, and tablets.
- Security and Compliance: Conduct periodic user and admin access reviews and participate in HIPAA and PCI audits. Partner with the Infosec team to secure IT applications, fix vulnerabilities, and respond to incidents.
- Serve as a technical architect and consultant to other engineering teams by assisting them with integrating SaaS applications into engineering workflows and promote good system design practices that focus on secure identity and access management, automation, and standards based configuration.
- Best Practices Implementation: Implement industry-standard best practices for IT application management and security.
- Vendor Engagement: Perform periodic assessments with vendor representatives and stay updated with evolving technologies and product enhancements.
- Support and Incident Response: Provide Tier 2/3 support to the IT Helpdesk and help resolve complex issues.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with various cross-functional teams to understand their needs and provide technical solutions.
- Project Participation: Contribute technical expertise and insights to IT projects and initiatives.
- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for IT processes and procedures.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Mentor and train service desk technicians on IT applications SOP and best practices.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 5+ years of hands-on experience in administering IT applications.
- Technical Skills: Expertise in Okta, Intune, JAMF, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Jira, Confluence, Zoom, and AzureAD.
- Certifications: Industry certifications for various tools are a plus.
- IAM and RBAC: Strong experience in Identity and Access Management and Role-Based Access Control. Experience in SSO, SCIM, SAML, and OIDC
- Comfortable consuming REST APIs and LDAP for various applications.
- Security and Compliance: Knowledge of compliance frameworks and audits is a plus
- Automation and Integration: Proven experience in automating processes and integrating IT applications. Scripting experience is a plus.
- Support Skills: Ability to provide Tier 2/3 support and respond to incidents effectively.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
