Responsibilities:
- Design, construct, implement, and maintain highly scalable data engineering platforms
- Build high-performance algorithms that help process massive amounts of data in modern data lakehouse platform
- Integrate new data management technologies and data engineering tools into existing structures and pipelines
- Have a constant mentality and proven way to improve data pipeline reliability, efficiency, and quality
- Collaborate with data architects, service engineers, analysts, and IT team members to achieve project goals on time
- Manage existing ingestion platforms and create custom data engineering components and analytics applications.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of prior experience as a Data Engineer
- Experience with popular AWS cloud services
- Proven expertise in the use of data management technologies such as Airflow and Databricks
- Strong command of SQL, Python, Spark, and PySpark
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, D3.js, PowerBI)
- Technical expertise in sophisticated data modeling which includes both batch streaming and segmentation techniques
- Knowledge of using Kubernetes, Docker, and other Devops tools is a strong plus
