Salary: £35,000 per annum

Hours: Full time - 37.5 hours per week

Location: London

 The Infrastructure Analyst role reports directly into the Infrastructure Manager. Your time will be divided between BAU operations and project work with an emphasis on delivering value to the business. You will be a 3rd line escalation point for the service desk technicians and have a good overall grasp of both client and server business software, client management tools and server management best practices. You will have assigned work for ongoing projects and will take ownership of small projects, working closely with stakeholders both inside and outside the Technology department.

 Role responsibilities

  • Respond to network and infrastructure outages and incidents
  • Conduct root cause analysis
  • Provide 3rd line technical support to the service desk
  • Work collaboratively with the Site Reliability Engineer and provide holiday cover for this function
  • Complete routine preventative maintenance
  • Work within the company guidelines and processes to ensure our continued compliance with ISO27001 and GDPR
  • Assist with implementing and operating a Business Continuity Plan (BCP)
  • Assist with implementing and operating a Disaster Recovery Plan (DR)
  • Assist with the implementation and support of infrastructure projects
  • Implement and maintain software, firmware and operating system updates
  • Maintain, analyse and monitor security threats to the IT systems and services
  • Provide regular reports, feedback and updates to your manager
  • Document everything as you go
  • Ensure all work is logged in the ticketing system
  • Take ownership of your work and see things through to completion
  • Manage the expectations of colleagues, clients and customers.

Technical experience and skills

  • Understanding of network hardware and software technologies in an enterprise environment
  • Understanding of Site reliability engineering, tools and techniques
  • Understanding of IaaS and public cloud technologies in an enterprise environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft, Linux and Apple operating systems
  • Security principles relating to firewalls, file systems and access control
  • Office and inter-office networking, configuration, setup, principles and monitoring
  • Experience with Office 365 and Exchange Online environments
  • Microsoft Windows domain environments and administration of systems including Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, WSUS, Windows Servers, RDS, Windows 10, TCP/IP networking and Microsoft Exchange Server, VoIP Telephony systems
  • Understanding of PKI
  • ITILv3 Foundation Certified
