As a Product Owner at Blend, you will build the technology that powers the future of lending. We are looking for someone who is a true problem-solver at heart. You don't shy away from new challenges; the harder the problem, the better. You are intensely focused on identifying problems and finding the right solution, and are willing to take risks and face down setbacks along the way. You thrive in a fast-paced and results-oriented environment. You are design-oriented, think in terms of ROI and impact, and enjoy learning about and applying new technologies to solve customer problems in a user-centric way.

How you’ll contribute:

  • Drive the strategy and execution for product, business and partnerships for how Blend expands into digital closings while navigating the current industry landscape.
  • Craft and evangelize the vision and roadmap for your area, relentlessly validating it with prospects to ensure we’re building a valuable and differentiating product.
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and design teams to ship and iterate for maximum impact and quick learning(including crafting strategies and specs, driving alignment and reviews, managing in-flight work, and understanding and sharing outcomes).
  • Thoughtfully challenge assumptions and push cross-functional teams to find better solutions while also moving fast.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Business Development to identify the appropriate go-to-market and partnership strategies at each stage of the product lifecycle.
  • Create value for the customers while keeping in mind the Product P&L.

Who you are:

  • 5+ years experience building extraordinary software as a Product Owner.
  • The ability to make decisions in the face of uncertainty and with incomplete information, and an eagerness to learn from the outcomes.
  • Technical fluency that enables you to creatively explore possibilities and challenge constraints with engineering, with demonstrated ability to earn the respect of talented engineers.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather data, both qualitative and quantitative, emerge with insights, and make and communicate well-reasoned decisions.
  • Excellent written and verbal reasoning and communication skills.
  • A desire to move fast and act with confident humility.

Bonus Points!

  • Experience launching new products and/or growing products beyond a pilot phase.
  • Experience in enterprise software, financial services, and/or lending.
  • Experience building API-driven platforms and working with third-party systems.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
