As a member of the Business Development team, you will focus on identifying, evaluating, and executing on new partnerships to build long term value across customers and markets. The ideal candidate must enjoy applying new technologies and data to identify areas of value and deliver solutions to partners. You will work cross functionally and collaboratively with internal and external parties to solve industry challenges. How you'll contribute:
- Learn and maintain a deep technical understanding of the Blend platform and our customers across mortgage and consumer banking
- Distill a partner’s key business objectives, capabilities, and technical needs to understand areas of value
- Consult with leading industry partners to diagnose complex problems and develop compelling data-driven partnerships and solutions
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to build consensus and execute on recommended solutions
- Partner closely with Product, Sales, Finance, Marketing, and Engineering
Who you are:
- 7+ years of experience creating new growth opportunities in the role of business development, strategy, consulting, or technology
- Outstanding ability to communicate complex ideas and technical concepts clearly and efficiently
- Exceptional ability to build buy-in with internal and external stakeholder groups
- Ability to think creatively about applying data and technology to solve business problems
- Project management experience and the ability to balance multiple time-sensitive and cross-functional projects
- Self-starter - comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty and can thrive in an unstructured environment
- A track record of working in a fast-paced environment, setting your own demanding expectations, inspiring and supporting colleagues

To comply with local legislation, as well as to provide greater transparency to candidates, we share base pay ranges on all job postings regardless of desired hiring location.
For full time hires, the hiring base pay range for this position is between $126,000 and $148,000. The stated base pay range would generally increase 10% for candidates in CA/NY and be reduced 5% for candidates outside of CO, IL, MA, TX, VA, WA, and DC. Beyond base pay, Blend benefits and perks are described below.
Final base pay offer amounts will vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to function, level, geographic location, job related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay will be adjusted for part-time roles to reflect scheduled hours.
