Blend’s Mortgage Group is responsible for powering the core functionality of Blend’s lending platform that enables mortgage lenders to deliver a more frictionless, compliant, and accessible ecosystem to their customers.

 
Workflow automation is key to the transformation of Mortgage and Financial Services. It can not only drive process efficiencies, but also create differentiated Consumer and Lender experiences. As a member of the Automation & Follow-Ups engineering team, you’ll have the opportunity to drive these efficiencies and improve outcomes for not only our customers, but the consumers they serve in turn.

How you'll contribute: 

  • Provide full-stack architectural expertise building workflow automation services
  • Work cross-functionally with Blend teams such as Product and Design to build new products and services that drive the efficiency and automation of Blend’s mortgage products
  • As an owner of crucial services relied on by several Blend customer-facing products, provide occasional on-call support

Who you are: 

  • 2+ years of professional software engineering experience in a production environment
  • Proven industry experience as a software engineer (domain knowledge in enterprise software or home lending not required)
  • Excellent coding, problem solving, and debugging skills
  • Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
  • Experience with Postgres and MongoDB
