Key Responsibilities: 
 
As a Senior Insights Consultant you will lead a mix of research projects working directly with clients and collaborating with all Black Swan teams. You will be responsible for delivering rigorous research and strategic thinking, leading on pitches, proposals and project delivery across sectors and customer groups.
 
This role has both strategic and new business responsibilities as well as the growth of existing accounts and team mentoring at heart. We are looking for a capable and confident professional who has the ability to elevate client relationships.
 
This is an opportunity to work across some really interesting client issues and expand your knowledge of how digital research and data science can be used to complement for traditional research approaches. You will be part of an engaging, fast-paced environment, working with a young, dynamic and social team.
  • Lead multiple projects simultaneously from the first client meeting to the presentation debrief
  • Nurture and develop client relationships as well as build relationships with Black Swan teams world-wide
  • Lead and grow client accounts identifying clients’ needs with the support of the team
  • Advise on appropriate research methods, designing new methodologies where required – work seamlessly across primary research, social media analytics and secondary research
  • Create and deliver insightful and engaging story-based presentations
  • Work across different teams prioritizing your work and that of others to effectively deliver against deadlines
  • Be responsible for overall project management and project budgets, delivering work in a cost-effective manner
  • Manage a team and provide leadership, coaching and direction to each member
  • Keep abreast of industry news, new research techniques and best practice
Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Fluency in social media platforms, both personally and professionally with an ability to use social listening tools
  • Excellent knowledge of the MS office suite – Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Working knowledge of a survey scripting or online community tool
  • Knowledge of SPSS or other statistical analysis tools is an advantage
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to analyze a problem from different perspectives
  • Exceptional communication skills; the ability to articulate a problem and solution, both in verbal and written forms
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and respond to requests in a timely manner
  • Superior report writing and client presentation skills, including the ability to boil down a complex project to key visual PowerPoint slides that tell a story and provide recommendations
  • The ability to work effectively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Proven qualitative and quantitative research skills with both traditional and digital experience
  • Experience managing budgets and revenue forecasts
  • International research experience is a distinct advantage
  • Fluency in other languages is an advantage
