We are looking for a Head of Tax to join our global team on an accelerated growth path! You will actively contribute by shaping our tax landscape at a very exciting period on the way to IPO.   • Main contact point for all tax matters globally
  • Oversee all direct and indirect tax reporting in coordination with external tax advisors
  • Makes sure that monthly, quarterly and annual tax calculations for Blacklane group are in accordance with local & international GAAP 
  • Review and adjustment of existing tax processes and reporting in preparation of IPO
  • Regular update of tax fact book and VAT risk assessment in relevant countries 
  • Help design and implement tax policies and strategies 
  • Prepare tax correspondence and researching 
  • Drive efficiency through digitizing and simplifying operations and processes
  • Lead tax audits 
  • Lead ad-hoc projects & initiatives cross-functionally


  • You hold a master’s degree in a field of study related to tax
  • You have several years of international experience in the field of direct and indirect tax, ideally with a Tech and/or fast growing company and/or in an tax advising company
  • Qualification as German tax advisor or comparable is a plus
  • Have good organizational skills with the ability to manage priorities and co-operate with the team to execute in a fast-paced environment
  • You are result-oriented, comfortable working in a collaborative environment and have an eye for continuously automating and improving processes
  • Profound knowledge of Accounting systems (Datev or comparable)
  • You are self-motivated to continuously tackle challenges and improve our business
  • You have excellent MS Office skills (with a focus on Excel) and preferably some experience in using Financial Performance Management tools
  • You are fluent in German and English
