About the Role 

This is a unique chance to join an extremely successful consultancy and have a real impact on its continued success.

An exciting new opportunity has arisen to join a fast-paced and forward-thinking global business as a Learning & Development Design Partner.

This role is primarily focused on designing and delivering both digital and face-to-face training programs that engage learners and meet the development needs of our diverse workforce. This role requires a blend of digital design expertise, instructional design theory, and the ability to facilitate dynamic training sessions. BJSS is in a period of rapid growth and development, so in order to succeed in this role you’ll need to enjoy fast-paced environments with a drive to achieve results at scale.

This role will:

  • Design and develop engaging eLearning content and materials, including multimedia and interactive elements, to support learning objectives.
  • Create structured face-to-face training programs, workshops, and seminars tailored to various audiences within the organisation.
  • Utilise instructional design methodologies and best practices to ensure content is effective, accessible, and aligned with adult learning principles.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts and stakeholders to identify training needs and develop customised learning solutions.
  • Facilitate training sessions, workshops, and seminars, demonstrating excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, incorporating feedback and making adjustments to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest trends in learning technologies, instructional design, and training delivery methods.
  • Create campaign style communication collateral to support the engagement and implementation of programs.
  • Support the Learning team in continuously enhancing the way in which we operate, identifying efficiencies and opportunities for automation, improvement and evolution of our learning service offering.

This role can be based at either our Leeds, Glasgow or Bristol Office.

About You

You:

  • Have a high level of personal standards when it comes to the quality of learning design with the acknowledgement that at times, we’ll need to move at pace and iterate.
  • Have great organisational skills and are comfortable handling multiple priorities at once.
  • Have a keen eye for data and measuring the impacts of learning interventions.
  • Have a desire to learn and develop in a growing global consultancy, continuously looking at industry standards and best practice to enhance our learning offerings.

About Your Experience

  • Experience in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems (LMS).
  • Strong understanding of instructional design theories, methodologies, adult learning principles and human-centred design approaches.
  • You have experience designing, delivering and implementing learning initiatives in a fast-paced, growing environment.
  • You have an understanding of the complexities of a matrix organisation and/or a consultancy environment and how that relates to learning design and implementation.
  • You feel comfortable collaborating and engaging with stakeholders at all levels to understand and support their learning requirements.
  • You have experience delivering both face-to-face and virtually, leveraging the latest learning theories and methodologies to maximise engagement and learning impact.

Nice to have 

  • L&D qualifications/certifications e.g. instructional design, psychometrics, CIPD, coaching.
  • Experience embedding social and experiential learning initiatives.
  • Previous experience in working in consultancy or sales-based organisations.
