BitTitan is looking for a Software Engineering Manager to join our Software Development team in Singapore!


Job Responsibilities (other duties may be assigned) 

  • Design and implement high-quality and highly scalable code to enable processing of large volumes of data
  • Troubleshoot issues escalated from the support team and provide a resolution within a timely manner
  • Review code changes requests to identify potential improvements and to prevent errors, before approving and releasing the code
  • Drive the design of a product or a product area within the engineering team, by leading design review meetings and ensuring that new features fit into the existing architecture
  • Work with the product management team to define product direction and ensure delivery
  • Collaborate and coordinate effectively with other teams within the company
  • Communicate, document and provide training to other engineers around the features delivered
  • Be responsible for planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects, such as engineering excellence and technology stack improvements, at the scope of product area or complete product
  • Continuously communicate team performance and progress to upper line management
  • Work as an organization leader who can contribute to the site and the organizational goals


Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Manage a team or multiple teams of software engineers in multiple locations
  • Provide regular coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations
  • Support skill development and career growth for team members
  • Ensure the team has all necessary resources to achieve their goals
  • Define staffing needs and hire engineers and engineering leads
  • Take responsibility for performance of team members by setting clear goals and expectations, tracking progress against goals, providing feedback, and addressing performance problems
  • Enhance team's commitment to their work, foster team work


Experience/Skills Requirements


  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering
  • 3+ years of experience managing a software development team of 10 members or more
  • Technology manager with a good people management skills
  • Strong, verifiable software development skills
  • Knowledge of troubleshooting techniques (e.g. debugging, packet sniffing, etc.)
  • Knowledge of application design principles and design patterns
  • High proficiency in at least one strongly typed object-oriented programming language (C#, Java, C++)
  • Ability to identify and solve problems in an optimal and efficient way
  • Experience leading code reviews and implementing best software management practices
  • Precise written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be self-motivated with little need for supervisorial intervention


  • Experience working in a start-up product environment 
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing large scalable systems
  • Familiarity with network protocols, DNS, email systems, etc.  
  • Experience with Microsoft stack including .NET, Azure, and SQL Server
  • Knowledge of advanced algorithms and techniques (e.g., code profiling)



  • Bachelor/Master’s degree in computer science or engineering preferred


Language Skills

  • Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English
