We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to lead our Prime Financing product area within the Prime Brokerage division. This role will be responsible for building out all the typical prime brokerage financing features, products, and capabilities at BitGo, tailored for the Web 3.0 space. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fintech or blockchain environments, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for bringing digital assets to the forefront of the global economy.

Responsibilities:

  • Financial Expertise: Apply deep knowledge of financial products, including margin lending, collateral management, credit lines, and risk assessment. Familiarity with terms like LTV (Loan-to-Value), collateralization, margin calls, and liquidity management is essential.
  • Note: This Product Lead will work closely with an APAC Eng team which will require you to be flexible to join meetings during early mornings US time.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and motivate a team of engineers and other cross-functional representatives, ensuring effective collaboration and high performance in building the Prime Financing product area. This includes developing leverage and credit products tailored to institutional clients.
  • Product Development: Identify significant opportunities in the ambiguous and rapidly evolving digital asset space. Build consensus around a comprehensive roadmap, and work diligently with your team to execute on that vision.
  • Strategic Ownership: Own the roadmap, strategy, and execution for the Prime Financing product area. Ensure that all initiatives align with the broader goals of the Prime Brokerage division.
  • Performance Metrics: Define success for your team by determining key metrics and developing processes to measure progress toward your goals. Continuously monitor and analyze performance to drive improvements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other product managers, engineers, designers, and stakeholders to deliver innovative and competitive financing solutions. Ensure seamless integration and synergy across different product areas.
  • Market Awareness: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and the competitive landscape. This includes understanding and adapting to market shifts in leverage, lending, and credit products within the digital asset space.
  • Client Engagement: Engage directly with institutional clients, including hedge funds, market makers, exchanges, and other financial institutions. Understand their unique needs and challenges, and incorporate their feedback into product development.

Skills & Experience:

  • Experience: 6+ years of experience driving projects with cross-functional colleagues in fintech, blockchain, or related industries. Proven track record in leading and managing teams to deliver complex financial products.
  • Vision and Strategy: Demonstrated ability to define the vision and strategy for a product, with a proven track record of bringing innovative products to market. Experience in developing and executing strategic roadmaps.
  • Communication: Excellent communication and organization skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and concisely. Capable of articulating the product vision to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Versatility: A jack-of-all-trades with a get-things-done attitude — whether it be working on designs, writing up a QA plan, or investigating a client issue. Comfortable wearing multiple hats and stepping in wherever needed.
  • Efficiency: Ability to drive team efficiency in a fluid and rapidly changing environment. Skilled in agile methodologies and iterative development.
  • Attention to Detail: Obsessing over the details but also understanding how to ship on time. Balance perfectionism with pragmatism to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of digital assets and a desire to bring them to the forefront of the global economy. Knowledge of leverage and credit products, including margin lending, collateral management, and credit risk assessment.
  • Client-Centric Approach: Experience working with institutional clients and understanding their unique requirements. Ability to translate client needs into actionable product features and improvements.

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $160,000 - $200,000 USD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and the benefits outlined below are also a part of this role's package.
