BitGo is looking for a Compliance Specialist in Singapore who will be reporting to our APAC Compliance Manager to support and enhance our KYC initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Work alongside our talented Compliance team on the implementation and execution of the compliance programs - e.g. transaction monitoring, travel rule compliance and sanctions.
- Identify and measure risks, and effectively monitor the business unit control environment.
- Perform risk assessments of the compliance risks, third party arrangement risks and monitor the risk management process.
- Conduct client due diligence reviews in accordance with the internal policies and procedures and support the periodic KYC program.
- Keep abreast with the regulatory changes and update policies and draft operational procedures when needed.
- Prepare and file Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with various departments to fulfill both internal and external compliance reporting requirements.
- Assist in both internal and external audit.
- Handle ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor
Skills & Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree and an advanced degree or certification.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in internal audit, compliance and risk management positions with 1-2 years in the crypto sector preferred.
- Have a good understanding of Payment Services Act (PSA) and its associated Notices and Regulations.
- Attention to detail, strong judgment, ethics, and decision-making skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently with minor supervision.
- Ability to work in a highly collaborative startup FinTech environment.
