This position will deliver high quality work on a consistent basis, including but not limited to the following:

  • Prepare general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel. 
  • Support monthly financial close, including assigned journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of financial information.
  • Prepare error-free financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.  Identify any discrepancies and alert leadership.
  • Assist with running payroll by capturing pay changes, communicating to outside payroll services and verifying finished product.
  • Clean up historical GL classification errors, particularly in revenue and merchant fees.
  • Recommend ways to reduce cost and enhance revenue.
  • Support the business with any financial analysis and budgeting / forecasting.
  • Develop and document business and accounting processes and procedures to strengthen internal controls.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP.  
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential and complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with data clean-up and other preparation for ERP Implementation. 

As a collaborative and small team, we are looking for someone who wants to make an impact and also contribute to tech advancements and upgrades on our current processes. This role has a lot of room to grow as we continue to build out our Finance team.  

What do you need to succeed? 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
  • 5 years of experience in accounting/finance
  • Experience reconciling accounts
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets, including Xlookups, pivot tables, etc.
  • Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail 
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Highly driven, take initiative and excel in a remote working environment with limited supervision
  • Positive Team member who likes to learn 
  • Experience working with multiple legal entities 

These skills will give you an advantage over the competition:

  • Experience using Quickbooks, Acumatica or another ERP system.
  • Experience as a Staff Accountant
  • Experience supporting an eComm business
  • Experience processing USA Payroll 
  • Previous experience in a global remote setting
  • Experience doing Financial Modeling and Analysis

Additional Application Information

Salary Range: $2,100 - $2,500 USD Monthly

This role is 100% remote so reliable internet is a must.  The company is US based however the company is distributed remotely across the globe.
