Accounts Payable/Project Administrator

BioMed Realty is looking for an Accounts Payable/Project Administrator to provide accounts payable support on West Coast Development projects. Perform related duties as assigned and assist with ad hoc projects as requested.

This position offers a hybrid work model, which includes 4 days in office and 1 day remotely. Hybrid work may be modified based on the needs of the company.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Process Development Invoices
• Enter vendor invoices into Nexus Payables and manage process to vendor payment
• Review invoices for coding and accuracy including proper supporting documentation in accordance with company policy
• Interface with internal accountants and internal/external team members to ensure compliance
• Prepare, organize, and distribute project data and necessary documentation
• Communicate, respond to and follow up with vendors regarding inquiries, discrepancies and resolutions
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
• Provide assistance with ad-hoc projects as requested
• Provide PTO back-up for the team as needed

Job Specifications

• Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in accounts payable within a commercial real estate or construction environment preferred
• Understand basic accounting principles and apply them to day to day responsibilities
• Familiarity with construction, design, consulting and other third-party contracts, invoices and related documents
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and ability to cooperatively interface with cross-functional teams/individuals internally and externally
• Attention to detail and follow through
• Exemplary work ethic with highly effective time management skills and the ability to meet critical time deadlines
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Experience in Nexus Payables, Box.com and MRI a plus
• Completion of high school diploma; AS/AA degree or equivalent combination of education, training and related experience preferred.

Salary Range: $29.00 - $36.00 per hour + bonus + benefits
