Summary

The Instrument Product Manager at Biocare Medical will drive the strategic planning, development, and execution of our instrument product line, ensuring it is intricately aligned with our corporate strategy. They will focus on instrument-centric development priorities by analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscapes. This role involves setting specific KPIs for our instruments, steering the R&D and Engineering teams towards impactful innovations, and ensuring that our instruments meet the market's demands through close collaboration with the Commercial team.

Additionally, the Instrument Product Manager will manage a comprehensive post-market surveillance program, collecting and integrating customer feedback to refine our instruments continually. They are responsible for clearly articulating the vision and business case for Biocare Medical’s instruments, facilitating a shared understanding within the team. This also includes creating detailed planning materials to guide instrument initiatives with clarity and ensuring regulatory compliance.

  • Develop, define, and oversee the product road map for instruments at Biocare Medical 
  • Build systems to organize, manage, and report on post market surveillance by instrument. 
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies and trends into portfolio. 
  • Establish and report on product management KPI’s.  
  • Identify and implement voice of customer programs on a scheduled cadence.  
  • Develop, implement, and deploy product positioning strategies based on target markets.  
  • Establish board of key opinion leaders per product category for rapid feedback during product development.  
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree with three to five (3-5) years of relevant experience required. 
  • Product Management and Leadership Experience required.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time required. 
  • Broad knowledge base in Biochemistry, IHC and ISH - HT, HTL or QIHC a plus. 
  • Self-motivated, independent, able to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to analyze, comprehend and clearly articulate product/portfolio fits.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading and communication skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in the use of a personal computer accompanied by a strong aptitude for technical applications.
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats with a demonstrated capability to develop strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.

Expected Hours of Work

  • 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday - Friday and may require extended weekday or weekend hours depending on business needs.

Compensation Range

  • $90,000 - $110,000 annual
