Billie is looking for a Director of Social and Content to continue to grow our audience and engagement, and take our strategy and content to the next level. In this role you’re a thought leader who lives and breathes social media. You can provide guidance on the newest (and most annoying) change to the algorithm, you’ve figured out the next channel everyone will be on (before they’re there), and you know exactly what to say in the comments section. You’re an expert at marrying a strong brand vision with emerging trends, knowing which type of content performs well, and how to authentically participate in pop culture and trending conversations.

What you'll do: 

  • Lead organic social strategy across social platforms with an emphasis on Instagram, defining what platforms we should be on and what our unique POV is within each
  • Consistently improve the way we communicate with our customers to make sure we’re creating a best-in-class community with exemplary service
  • Lead the day-to-day process and workflow for paid social media creative – from conception to delivery; overseeing execution and involving the key stakeholders across creative, brand, and growth
  • Oversee the social media content calendar
  • Track, analyze, and report on performance of our social content, and continuously optimize social strategy based on our best performing content
  • Collaborate with the rest of the marketing team on creation of content and campaigns to drive growth, reach, and engagement
  • In partnership with the brand and creative teams, help define our tone and copy approach on social media to create a more ownable voice

What we’re looking for:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in social media, content and strategy roles
  • People management experience – you’ve managed big initiatives with cross-functional teams
  • A deep understanding of the social media landscape, trends and platforms
  • Impeccable writing skills
  • The ability to act fast and in real-time
  • A hands-on self starter who is comfortable with fast turnarounds and tight timelines
  • A proactive and collaborative approach – you love working with people and people love working with you
  • Someone who can lead by example and demonstrate Billie’s core values
