The Delivery Lead is responsible for protecting the project team, allowing them to focus on a high quality delivery of current work while supporting with vision, client development and growth. You lead, advocate, partner with and grow accounts based on building trust and positive delivery.

What will you be doing?

You will be working on the following outputs, with support from the Delivery team and the Delivery Director who will oversee this role:

Programme Delivery

  • Lead and support delivery managers to successfully deliver top quality outputs across given programmes or accounts
  • Collaborate with delivery managers and client partners to provide consistent financial tracking and internal reporting on project health
  • Lead the vision for any key client workshops, supporting with facilitation if required and providing leadership and direction
  • Escalate risks and mitigation plan to clients and internal teams when required
  • Strive for constructive outcomes and action orientated goals in discussions and planning sessions
  • Support with resource management of project team based on needs and dynamics
  • Design teams based on brief needs and talent with our resourcing manager
  • Review final scope of work based on proposal
  • Review and recommend approaches to delivery manager for managing scope change

Client Development  

  • Attend weekly status with stakeholders and client partner to review financials, risks, dependencies etc
  • Plan and lead quarterly or monthly planning session for programme and roadmap creations
  • Lead kick-offs, demos and wrap-ups with relevant stakeholders, be a friendly and highly competent point of contact for the Beyond team
  • Encourage and lead open communication with stakeholders throughout project on agreed channels
  • Participate in growth planning with client partners and internal and external stakeholders, owning the roadmap creation for agreed accounts
  • Manage new briefs and business opportunities with client partners, lead the scoping and work with team leads to align on proposal response including approach, deliverables, ways of working, costs and timing

Leadership

  • Work closely with Delivery Director to ensure delivery approach consistency across accounts, escalate issues and inform of account decisions and risks
  • Have 10x10s and coaching of direct reports
  • Encourage and motivate for a high-performing team
  • Lead high-velocity high-quality decision making

Team Dynamics

  • Encourage bonding and build trust in project team with team building activities
  • Attend regular project reflections and lead the follow-up actions
  • Inspire the team through a coaching culture
  • Keep high team morale under difficult or challenging situations

Agile/Lean Practices

  • Advocate for agile and lean ways of working both internally and externally
  • Establish best tools, practices and ways to work agile within project teams
  • Educate clients on benefits of working this way
  • Understand when to challenge assumptions and adapt how you are working based on team dynamics and project needs

Self-Development

  • Stay up to date on best practices, tools and trends in the delivery space
  • Attend relevant training sessions and industry events to support individual and team growth
  • Work with Delivery Director to inform how we share and shape the team
