As the People Ops Associate, you will provide essential support to BetterUppers as they navigate the employee experience at BetterUp (e.g. programs, tools, and benefits). This is a great opportunity to support critical HR functions including employee onboarding, benefits administration, document management, and recruitment. You will uphold high craftspersonship with a high emphasis on working with unprecedented speed and quality. Effective and efficient time management with a desire to improve processes will be essential. Our ideal candidate has exceptional professional interpersonal skills, a passion for customer service, and thrives in a fast paced, ambiguous environment. You’ll have the opportunity to expand your responsibilities as the team grows, so taking initiative and ownership of this role will be critical to your success. 

What you'll do: 

Impeccable Data and Process Management:

  • Collect and process new hire forms and assist with onboarding new employees globally, including conducting background checks, verifying I-9 employment eligibility, and creating and maintaining employee profiles
  • Maintain and update data in our HRIS system, and audit for accuracy and compliance
  • Maintain HR Intranet with relevant policies and documents
  • Shape the future of the new employee onboarding experience by helping to automate and streamline processes
  • Provide HR administrative support with billing auditing, purchase order reqs, vendor contracts, and auditor requests
  • Create reports for management, and analyze data for accuracy
  • Collaborate with the payroll and recruiting team to provide accurate reports for payroll processing and recruiting programs, respectively 

Support World-Class Employee Experience:

  • Serve as first point of contact for employee inquiries and respond to HR questions
  • Provide employment verifications and respond to agency inquiries
  • Assist in administering weekly new hire orientation, and ensure a positive onboarding experience
  • Support U.S. benefits administration and assist with annual benefits open enrollment planning and execution
  • Coordinate monthly HR events and programs (ie. Lunch N’ Learn sessions, Employee Anniversary Program…etc…)
  • Support HR team with special ad-hoc projects as needed (ie. generating reports, organizing trainings and events, company communication...etc...)

Facilities Management: 

  • Manage BetterUp office supply orders, food and beverage stocking, and various vendor partnerships 
  • Assist with Return-To-Work Program administration, and prepare employee correspondence as needed
  • Respond to in-office HR mailings, manage HR voicemail forwarding, and process state unemployment forms

  • Proficiency in serving as a Workday HRIS system admin
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field and/or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of HR experience, preferably in the tech industry 
  • PHR or SHRM certification is a plus
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
