This role is an in office position for candidates within a commutable distance of our Irvine location. This role is an Exempt Salary starting at $120,000 - $140,000/year.  This role is open to candidates who do not require visa sponsorship.

What you'll be doing:

The Project Manager must be able to perform the following tasks:

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with IT, Marketing, and Sales to define project scope, goals, milestones, dependencies, and timelines.
  • Project Management: Lead and manage the end-to-end life cycle of technical projects, including initiation, planning, execution, and delivery.
  • Methodology Application: Ability to assess project needs and determine when to apply Waterfall or Agile methodologies to ensure optimal project execution and outcomes.
  • Agile Coaching & Mentorship: Provide guidance and coaching to team members on Agile methodologies, ensuring effective adoption and continuous improvement within the team when needed.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Monitor and Control: Report on project progress and initiatives, addressing any issues or roadblocks promptly
  • Communication: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders and vendors, providing regular updates on project status, achievements, and risks.
  • Process Improvement: Analyze existing processes and identify areas for improvement, develop and implement standards for project management, continuously improve processes and methodologies.
  • Documentation: Build and maintain process documentation, comprehensive project documentation, schedules, and reports.
  • Deliverables: Ensure quality deliverables and business requirements are met.
  • Conduct post implementation reviews or retrospectives to evaluate project outcomes and identify lessons learned
  • Project Management Tool Optimization: Enhance and streamline project management tools and processes, ensuring they align with best practices and drive greater efficiency across teams.  

What we are looking for:

The Project Manager must have the following experiences:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably over 7 years
  • You have a high execution bar and will see projects from conception to completion
  • Excellent at collaborating across teams, bridging different parts of the organization to achieve cross-functional outcomes
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate across multiple areas to achieve a common business objective
  • A discerning and an incredibly fast learner
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proven experience working within Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • Team player who embraces change and can be patient, persistent, pragmatic, and diplomatic
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and background interacting with senior management
  • Strong leadership and project management skills
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have:

  • Previous experience overseeing a wide portfolio of different IT/Technical initiatives
  • Ability to translate information into clear and engaging visual stories via PowerPoint
  • PMO experience desired
  • Process improvement experience
  • PMP or CSM Certification
  • Previous experience working with Jira
  • Previous experience working with CRM software and phone systems
  • Experience with Wrike
  • Start-up experience
